Starting May 2018, the CRC’s High Potential Program supports selected young researchers from PhD candidates to junior research group leaders in our CRC in advancing in their scientific career. We especially address female scientists.
The goal of the program is to advance the candidate’s academic profile by analysing their strengths and weaknesses in an intensive process and plan as well offer further measures accordingly. Further information is to follow soon.
Have you ever been biased towards someone? Probably yes, since it is a human trait. Have you ever observed yourself being biased? Probably not or rarely, since often being biased happens unconsciously. Such unconscious biases are tricky, e.g. when judging applicants for a position or evaluating work results. They may cause unwanted and unnecessary disadvantages for ourselves and others.
